Hal ini sebagaimana dikatakan , Wabup Thariq Modanggu Saat Membuka Rapat Koordinasi Program Badan Usaha Milik Desa (Bumdesa) Untuk Pengembangan Padi Ladang Ponelo yang digelar di Ruang Rapat Dinas Pemdesa Kabupaten Gorut, Selasa (26/1/2021).
Dalam Sambutannya , Thariq Modanggu mengatakan, Sebagai salah satu program unggulan di gorut, Produk Padi Ladang Varietas Padi Ponelo yang saat ini tengah dikelola Bumdes Mandiri Desa Otiola, Kecamatan Ponelo Kepulauan, merupakan produk asli daerah yang dinilai mempunyai kandungan karbohidrat yang cukup kaya, guna tetap menjaga keberlangsungan pengelolaan varietas padi ladang ini, dirinya meminta kepada seluruh unsur terkait untuk bisa mempertahankan 3 aspek penting demi keberlangsungan produk unggulan yang ada.
” Tadi dalam sambutan saya tegaskan, yang pertama, bagaimana kita tetap bisa menjaga mutu dari pada beras padi ladang ponelo ini, beras ini kwalitasnya sudah di akui oleh pihak kementrian pertanian, untuk tetap menjaga kepercayaan dari kementrian sendiri, saya sudah minta, untuk proses pembibitan , pemupukan dengan menggunkan pupuk non pestisida , hingga pemanenan untuk dapat diproses secara higienis demi menjaga kwalitas beras hasil produksi dari beras ponelo itu sendiri,” Kata Wabup Thariq Modanggu.
Wabup Juga menambahkan, untuk tetap menjadikan beras ponelo ini sebagai produk unggulan daerah, menjaga kapasitas produksi juga penting untuk dilakukan oleh pihak bumdes mandiri otiola, agar ketika pihak bumdes menerima banyak orderan, hasil produksi yang disimpan bisa di distribusikan kembali kepada para konsumen.
” Yang kedua saya minta kepada mereka, untuk bisa Menjaga kapasitas produksi, ini penting. karena ketika orang butuh, kita ada stok melimpah,” Terang Wabup.
Kwalitas sumber daya manusia dan pengetahuan dari para petani dalam pengelolaan kata thariq penting untuk dilakukan secara bersama-sama , arahan dari pihak dinas pertanian , peran penyuluh dan para ahli, serta keikutsertaan pihak dinas koperindag gorut dalam memasarkan produk ini harus bisa dimaksimalkan , agar aspek kontiunitas produktifitas produk unggulan ini bisa berjalan dan berkembang secara bertahap.
