Boalemo – Polres Boalemo menangkap pemuda WF alias Wahyu (31) sopir toyota avanza asal ujung pandang, karena kedapatan membawa satwa dilindungi. Senin, (30/5/2022).
Mobil avanza pembawa hewan langka tersebut, berasal dari kota makassar menuju kota Manado.
Dari puluhan satwa dilindungi yang ikut diamankan oleh Polres Boalemo, terdapat beberapa jenis hewan, diantaranya orang utan, kura-kura kadal dan masih banyak jenis hewan lainnya.
Kapolres Boalemo AKBP. Dadang Wijaya menceritakan kronologisnya. Awalnya kata dia, anggota Satlantas Polres Boalemo melakukan operasi, tak lama kemudian terdapat mobil yang mencurigakan dengan nomor polisi DD 1037 RR dari arah barat menuju arah timur, pada saat dihentikan mobil merek avanza putih itu mencoba untuk melarikan diri. Namun, berhasil dicegat oleh anggota yang saat itu beroperasi.
“Jadi setelah dicegat, maka anggota Satlantas yang ada di lapangan tersebut langsung memeriksa mobil itu, setelah di cek ternyata didalam mobil tersebut kok didapati banyak kurungan yang berisi hewan dan setelah dicek lebih lanjut ternyata hewan-hewan tersebut termasuk hewan yang dilindungi” Ungkap Kapolres Boalemo.
Selanjutnya, Kapolres Boalemo AKBP Dadang Wijaya mengatakan, pihaknya akan melakukan tindak lanjut terhadap sopir dan hewan-hewan yang telah diamankan.
“Nanti kita akan proses, dan hewan-hewan ini nantinya kita akan serahkan ke Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (BKSDA). Karena hewan ini harus dilindungi, maka harus dilakukan tindak lanjut dan penanganan yang lebih intensif” Ujar AKBP Dadang Wijaya.
