KABGOR – Wakil Bupati Gorontalo, Herman Walangadi menghadiri dan memberikan arahan pada kegiatan Pelatihan Kader Lanjut (PKL) Ke-II PMII, di Aula Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Gorontalo, Sejin (25/01/2021).
Acara yang mengangkat tema “Optimalisasi Kader PMII dalam Mewujudkan Kemandirian Ekonomi Berbasis Sosio Kultural” itu dirangkaikan dengan Pelantikan Masa Khidmat kader PMII Tahun 2020-2021. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan protokol kesehatan, seperti menggunakan masker, jaga jarak dan mencuci tangan.
Dalam sambutannya, Herman mengatakan bahwa Pergerakan Mahasiswa Islam Indonesia merupakan sebuah organisasi kemahasiswaan yang berideologi Islam Ahlussunnah Wal Jamaah, yang senantiasa mempunyai peran dan tanggung jawab besar untuk melakukan gerakan dakwah islamiyah yaitu mewujudkan ajaran Islam yang rahmatan lil alamin yang dapat diterima oleh semua elemen masyarakat pemeluk agama Islam sesuai dengan kultur masyarakat Indonesia.
“PMII menjunjung nilai-nilai luhur dan mempunyai peran dalam upaya memperbaiki bangsa dari keterpurukan dengan sebuah konsep dakwah dan sosok Dai yang dapat mendongkrak kebekuan cara berpikir umat, membuka paham yang berlebihan terhadap kelompok sendiri dan dapat membebaskan bangsa dari penjajahan kemiskinan dan kebodohan,” ujar Herman.
Ketika membicarakan tentang pergerakan mahasiswa Islam Indonesia, lanjut Wabup, dimana ideologi Islam diwujudkan dalam kerangka berpikir Ahlussunnah Wal Jamaah yaitu orang yang mempunyai sifat yang karakter mengikuti sunnah Nabi Muhammad shallallahu alaihi wasallam dan menjauhi perkara-perkara yang baru.
“Tapi ternyata banyak kader pergerakan mahasiswa Islam Indonesia yang belum betul-betul memahami dan mampu mengaplikasikannya dalam kehidupannya sehari-hari,” imbuhnya.
Untuk itu, Wabup Herman berharap, pelaksanaan acara pelatihan kader organisasi formal pergerakan mahasiswa Islam Indonesia ini menjadi gerakan terbuka untuk kader-kader pergerakan mahasiswa Islam Indonesia yang profesional dan mampu bertanggung jawab sebagai Garda terdepan paham Islam sehingga serta mampu menjaga kesatuan negara kesatuan republik Indonesia.
“Dan semoga acara ini dapat memberikan wawasan serta pencerahan intelektual kader dalam mewujudkan kader yang berkualitas dan memiliki semangat yang dibutuhkan dalam aktualisasi organisasi. Tentunya itu sebagai bentuk tantangan maupun peluang bagi para kader PMII yang harus dihadapi baik saat ini dan nanti serta dapat bekerjasama dengan pemerintah dalam upaya mengawal proses pembangunan yang ada di Kabupaten Gorontalo,” tandas Herman.
